Find an ayah from Arabic you type

Remember the sound of a line but not the surah number? Type at least three Arabic words from the start of the verse. Matching uses the same prefix matcher as Mutqin’s Find an ayah — without a microphone and without sending your wording to analytics.

How the public finder works

The page loads Uthmani Quran text through Mutqin’s same-origin Quran proxy, builds the Ask Mutqin matching index, and ranks ayahs that fit the words you typed. If several ayahs are close, you see a short list.

Voice, audio, and opening a range

Reciting into the microphone, playing ayah audio, translations, and opening a span around the match happen in the memorisation workspace. This tool stops at identification so it can stay public and free of speech services.
